Hi, I'm Melissa also known as Melon,
I'm currently studying Animation and Illustration, and I have started this blog to help track my progress throughout the course.
I usually label myself as a 'natural born dilly-dallier', this is not a very useful quality when it comes to projects and deadlines. I do however feel this course will help me keep on track and make my 'dilly dallying' less of an issue.
I also believe this course will help me discover more about myself as an artist. I hope it will give me a better understanding of my 'style' and overall make me a stronger artist.
In my current project, I am creating an animation based on environments. In the animation, the character will walk down a colourful street when all of a sudden, the area will start to glitch. The character will then run into his house, where the shot will then burn out symbolising the end of the animation. This will all be from the view point of the character.
As this is what I intend to create, I will need to create 2 sets of assets, one for the colourful environment, and the other for the 'glitched' environment. This I feel will take longer to create, however I think all the effort I put in to the animation, will pay off in the end result.
Update: As I was supposed to upload this a couple of weeks ago, you can see my 'dilly dallying' got the best of me. This I feel was because I was so concentrated on creating all of my assets for my animation, that I completely forgot that I had to post this. In the weeks to come I hope to be posting regular updates and I will set reminders so that I do not forget again.
