This was my first ever animation in my first project of the course. We were shown, taught and told to create an animation which could constantly loop, this meaning that you could join the animation at any point and you wouldn't feel lost.
When starting this project, I wanted to do something very simplistic as I had never created an animation before. This idea got thrown out of the window when I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and try working and drawing things that I'm normally not use to, this included the human anatomy. In this animation, I was inspired by an illustration of a girl in the midst of Autumn. This had inspired me to create an animation of a girl who is is in an infinite loop of twirling with leaves flying around her.
For my first animation I was very proud of this piece. Although I wouldn't have said that it was made to a professional standard, I still believe this was a good starting point in which my animating skills could improve from.
Now looking back a this piece, I probably would have liked to have used a stronger outline. This is probably just a personal preference, or even me reverting back to my comfort zone, but personally, I do enjoy using line work in my designs.
If I have time in the future, I do want to try recreating this animation. I feel I am more confident now with working digitally, and I have a better understanding of Photoshop and illustrator. Recreating this piece, I believe, would allow me to see how much I have developed over the specific amount of time.
