After getting back to college from the Easter holidays, I have gotten feedback on the outcomes that I have so far.
Within my illustration, my tutor suggested that I change the colour of the main fish and that I also add a reflection shine to the helmet. Both of these improvements have been made and I am now just waiting for my tutors nod of approval.
Within my animation, my tutor said that I was on the right track but wanted me to make the piece loop. He had given me suggestions of how I could do this, however I decided that I wanted the rest of the piece to be inspired by one of my favorite artists, DelaDeso. He is an artist who draws on top of photos, making the people featured, look as if they are melting away. This is how I wanted my character to disappear, so I made the last frame, my characters hat and hands, melt into a puddle then rise up, reforming the first frame of the animation.
So this week I have:
- Made the suggested improvements to my illustration
- I have sketched out the following frames to make my animation loop
- I then took the sketches and started creating cleaner line work in illustrator
- Once my line work was complete, I took the lines back into Photoshop
- Making sure each frame was in the correct order, I started colouring the frames in the way I had previously
- I then put all of these frame into an animation and watched it run smoothly
What I still need to do:
- Get my tutors approval for both the animation and the illustration
- Print off the final A2 finished piece
- Mount up the design
- Start on an evaluation
- Make sure all of my documentation has been printed out and written up
- Make sure I have everything ready for hand in on Monday
